Event Details A concert by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, an internationally renowned exponent of the bansuri, or bamboo flute. As you may know Pandit Hariprasad has won several awards in his career spanning over 50 years and heads the World Music Department at the Rotterdam Music Academy. He will be accompanied by renowned Subhankar Banerjee on the Tabla and Jay Gandhi. The event is on Saturday October 8th 2011, hosted at the Seattle Town Hall at 7 pm, and the entire event is a fund raiser for AID. As a reference point, in 2008 we hosted Shri. Hariprasad Chaurasia in Seattle, the event was a SOLD OUT concert. Thru that concert we raised a lot of funds as well that helped support several projects driven by AID. With your support and participation we are hopeful this concert will also be a smash hit like the last one. Childcare and dinner will be made available at the venue.
